Casey Ferguson is a Eugene chiropractor who serves Eugene and the surrounding communities in OR.
Dr. Ferguson or ‘Dr. Casey’ as his patients affectionately call him was born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon. After graduating from Hidden Valley high school, he joined the Navy and served in a combat search and rescue squadron, where he served in Operation Enduring Freedom as a Second Class Petty Officer. Following his honorable discharge, he moved to Eugene and began his education at LCC. After obtaining his associate degree, he enrolled at the University of Oregon where he obtained his bachelor of Science in Psychology. He then relocated to Portland and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees at University of Western States.
Casey Ferguson uses chiropractic medicine to improve a patients’ health and wellness in all aspects of their lives, whether they are experiencing problems with neck pain or back pain, or just want to start feeling the way that they know they should. Dr. Ferguson takes a “whole person” approach in chiropractic care, which means identifying the underlying root-causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Dr. Casey has a special interest in sport and extremity injury management. He has mastered the art of adjusting shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, as well as hips, knees and feet. Due to his expertise, he has been sought out by many professional, Olympic, and high level college athletes for management of injuries and to enhance their performance. Most recently Dr. Casey was selected as a staff physician for the World Junior Championships, Personal Medical for the Prefontaine Classic, as well as the 2012 Olympic Trials where he was a featured in a video production as an expert for Team USA.
Dr. Casey Ferguson DC has obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™). The CCSP® certification requires the doctor to attend a minimum of 100 hours of a 120 hour postgraduate program. This instruction is specific to physical fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of these hours, the doctor must then take and successfully pass a comprehensive written examination.
This training will aid the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP® certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Ferguson DC joins over 5500 others internationally who hold this designation.
