Laying a foundation of total health

In many ways chiropractic medicine is like building a house- everything has to be built upon in a certain order. Just like building a house, if you start with framing in the walls before the foundation is in place, the walls would be weak and likely collapse before you are completed with the build. If you try to build the roof prior to having the walls in place on a solid foundation, you are looking at the same outcome.  These fundamental concepts apply to your body as well, which is the basis for relieving pain and disease with chiropractic.  If there is an imbalance with your body, there can be a cascade of events leading to your "collapse". With appropriate chiropractic care, your body will be taken through a specific treatment plan designed to build a strong foundation, frame, roof, and remove all obstacles to your bodies natural healing. . There are three general phases of chiropractic care . . .

Phase 1: Acute/Relief Care

When you come into our Eugene chiropractic office, our mission is to reduce pain and start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition which is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week for 2-6 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective phase of chiropractic care with your chiropractor Eugene Oregon, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely in controlled and predictable way, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to optimal functioning. Evidence has shown it is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 4-8 times per month for 1-12 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

The benefits of seeing a chiropractor Eugene tends to extend beyond just pain relief, and injury recovery. Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing exacerbations of back pain or other pain symptoms, periodic chiropractic treatments will help you to avoid further problems in the future. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-2 times per month, or as needed, based on your lifestyle and goals.
